how protective DME companies are..............

Post by gster » Fri May 04, 2007 4:00 pm

i called Lincaire to ask about the recall of the Resmed machines and i was told there is none. okay!

told em about the smell i am getting from chamber and now comes the fifth degreee. when did you change this, when did you change that.

i told the woman i purchased a new water chamber and she informed me that i am not supposed to do that and you will not get reimbursed for it.

Twice she asked me where i purchase my replacement parts and twice i informed her that "i don't think i want to tell you."

I know just because you but a machine from one DME supplier it does not make a conflict of interest (as she said to me) to buy from another DME supplier regardless of what is said to you .

I would contact Resmed directly and inform them that your DME is refusing to service the recall. Then I would report the incident to the proper regulatory authorities.

I have said this before and in most cases I believe it is true. Some people who work at DMEs are not only uninformed but then when they're told something they're ignorant. I have told my RT things and she's looked at me like"I'm the expert(not in my opinion)you're the patient where would you get that idea? Maybe because I'm an informed patient and I remain that way thanks to the forums that I regularly visit. Thanks goodness for forums like this one!

I would contact Resmed directly. It is why they jacked up the prices back in 2006 wasn't it?

...to give you the patient better service.

Well now is a good time to exercise that new policy and put them to the test. If they give you any flack, just tell them dsm took his 2 junkers he found dumpster diving and they exchanged them no questions asked. Even he was amazed.

You should get the same or better treatment I say

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...
