I work with a theatrical production company and 4-5 times a year go on tour for 2-3 weeks. I always ride in one of the semi-trucks and we generally bunk in the sleeper.
My question is what do other OTR drivers/passengers do to power their CPAP. My manual says not to power from a vehicle BUT I power my computer, fridge, etc. off of inverters for the tractor.
Only been on the CPAP a few weeks and my next tour is in a week.

On the road power
I have the same machine as you. I have the Respironics battery pack, that supposedly has the right circuitry to power my machine (although it won't power the humidifier) for up to 21 hours of usage. I also have the cord to recharge this battery from 12VDC lighter plugs. My intent is to use it on the occasional night "off the grid."
I suppose one could power the machine directly, IF the inline electronic filter (if such as thing is in the battery pack) is also in use. Folks who know more about it than I will certainly jump in here.

I was out overnight in my truck last night and had old faithful, my Respironics Remstar Pro with HH, and powered it with my Cobra 800 watt inverter as I usually do. I also use a Remstar Auto with a F&P 100 humidifier at home on my alternative power house which is powered by a large inverter.
I do not know if the M-Series will behave as well, some of the other brand of machines don't like inverters of the modified sine wave version but will run on pure sine wave versions. Its generally the humidifier in the system that has the problem so one could run a stand alone unit, I use the F&P 100, to get by if you need it like I do. Otherwise just run the main unit on 12 volts direct.
