Hi all, just letting you know, last night was my first night on the new Latex mattress with memory foam top. While I know it is will take awhile to get use to, my husband and I are pleased with our purchase. Of course just coming out of a heated waterbed it is quite different. That said, I have no aches and pains as I have had from other beds. I found it very supportive and it may even cure my stomach sleeping as it is quite a bit harder. I find that we are fine downsizing to a Queen, well the dog is not included in being fine with it.
I will keep you posted on the comfort after the adjustment period is over.........Ellen Oh yeah, I did have to get up for another blanket, I hadn't anticipated how cool it would get w/o the heated mattress. But for me cool is a good thing!!!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHH the new bed

LOL Ellen, you must have ESP.
Just now, I was looking at our "new" bed frame and I was wondering how your night went.
Which model did you get?
Thanks for telling us.
I do not think I can put it off much longer, now my husband is waking up achy as well. When one of you moves does the other move also. Do you guys sink towards each other?

no way
Hi Selfseeker,
No you don't roll to the middle or wake when your partner moves. This latex stuff is like the old foam rubber pillows of the 50's, only more dense. If I could still stand on a bed, I would try the wine test, but clumsy as I am now way would jump up and down on a bed, nevermind the the wine trick.
We bought the Englander, all latex mattress with about an inch and a half of memory foam on top to cushion the latex.
When i use to need some TLC from myself, I'd crawl in the waterbed, now however I don't feel compelled to jump into the latex. I'm sure I will love it more after a week or two. good luck.....Ellen

hey bud
Hey Jim,
I would not recommend the dog, as the one I've got now is only 12 lbs, that said, when he gets in the bed it's like trying to move million pound bolder away from you so you can sleep. Many papers swear it will stop you from turning on your tummy..........God Bless..........Ellen
