I just got the reader and software yesterday. I stayed up waaaay too late installing them and the MyEncore as well, then checking out all the reports. I was going to bring in the data card and software to work so I could obsess on it here as well but common sense stopped me.
I read the comments on dd???'s reports and it made some sense to me. I've been operating at 9-15 and upped to 10-15 last night since it seemed that my optimal number was around 10.
I don't know if I just had a bad couple nights or what, but the nights with the higher pressures had the most AI/HI events. I have to go back and reanalyze the charts now that I know some of what I'm looking for -- i.e., leak causing snore causing pressure spike causing more events.....
What a wonderful educational place this is -- I'm blessed to have found it!

I look at my numbers every morning as part of my AM routine. The sleep tech told me not to get the software and that it was for doctors to look at not patients. We couldnt understand it.
What BS! I am really glad I have it, I need to be deeply involved in my own therapy as I trust myself more then anyone else. I understand the numbers. I didnt at first but I learned, just like a doctor would.

That's GREAT!......for both of you.
Yeah, it's pretty easy to understand the Encore Pro reports.
The "medical professionals" just want more of our money.

I was told by my doctor not to focus so much on pressure used, and AHI, I had brought in the card from my APAP and he refused to read it or look at it. He said: "I am more far more worried about how you are worrying about the OSA and CPAP, than I am worried about your mild apnea." However, I am now using a REsmed S8 Vantage and check the stats every morning and write them down in a notebook, and don't tell my doctor. The head tech at Promptcare (the DME I wound up being sentenced to) offered to read the card every few months and give me the full data, he also offered to call the doc and get him a free updated card reader from REsmed, he guessed the doctor simply didn't have a reader which gave more than compliance data.
I do obsess a bit about it.... but what can I do, its my life and I hope that the APAP will pay off in making it run a longer than it might have if the OSA had been undiagnosed or untreated
