Here's a twist on the conventional chin strap from down under, called the LipSeal.
I have no idea if it works or how comfortable it is, but from what I've seen many of you go through for mouth breathing (inc. myself) it may be an option. The difference is it can double as a chin strap or a mouthpiece to keep you from mouth breathing all the while using your existing nasal interface. I haven't seen it discussed here but that doesn't mean it hasn't.

I have NO idea if it works, or if it is comfortable or not, just another way to stop mouth breathing from what I can tell. My personal experience with purchases made from Sleepzone have all been excellent, that I do know.
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

I have no experience with this product, but I wouldn't think that strap around the base of my neck would be at all comfortable. I dont' even like that low strap on the Ultra Mirage full face mask.
But maybe it will work for some.

Looks a tad over done - but if you are a true mouth breather like I am, it might be another option if one does not wish to tape.
Thanks Snoredog for the link and pics!

That is just absolutely medieval ... does it come with stainless steel thumb screws?

I still have a nice head of hair, so I am concerned from the progression in the photos, it looks like it causes a fairly rapid hair loss.

Oh, Rooster! Thanks for starting my day w/a smile.
I agree w/SnoreGirl tho, my first thought was Ouch! My poor neck!
It looks like one method of wearing it pushes your jaw forward and the other method pushes your jaw back.
DreamStalker, you are just plain incorrigible!
Thanks for sharing, SnoreDog. You gonna try one, you think??

If you look on the site - the item is expensive IMHO. But the piece on the neck/back of head looks like it's made of a soft cloth material.

Snoredog thank you for the intresting find.
LOL Rooster
Over the mouth sounds looks intresting. I guess, the purpose is so any nasal mask can be an option.
Looks has nothing to do with it.
Hopefully some lab rats will try it out, and report back.
Mouth breathing is in a problem for many.
I can do this, I will do this.

Yea I know ... I have been known to be a bad boy from time to time
... but I have been pretty much 100% compliant with my PAP treatment ... that should count for something

Why not just glue the mouthpiece to the bottom of the Breeze? Forget the strap! I'll stick with the tape, thanks (pun intended).

It kind of reminded me of Silence of the Lambs face piece.

Sorry to temporarily hijack.....Rooster- did it help you to remove the chin flap? I have had problems with massive leaking from my new hybrid.

I had these problems with the chin flap: 1)made the mask hot; 2)caused a bad skin reaction under my chin; 3) made the mask feel more confining and bulkier; 4)was more prone to leak.
I would caution that some people are reporting good results with the chin flap. Before I cut the chin flap off, I made sure I had a backup in case I decided the mask was working better with the flap.
Here is my guide for adjusting the Hybrid (without chin flap):

Looks pretty scary to me. Taping has to be cheaper.
