The body (throat) must "learn" also...

Post by mj6gte » Thu Apr 12, 2007 9:22 am

(New at this..) When I started therapy, a few months ago, my numbers *with the machine* were:
Pressure: 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12
O.A. 1.8 24 11 19.5 14.5 13.5 48.9 51.4

2 months later and feeling (my version) normal, I have 0 O.A. and 2.3 hyp. @ 7 and 2.7 hyp. @ 8.

Never thought I would not "hate" this machine.....it has been a life saver. Silly ways of measuring success, my 16 year old would consistently beat me at pool, post machine, he wins 10% of the time. I am more alert, I see and think more clearly and there are other benefits. Thank goodness for this forum, I got my machine as I was moving and leaving my job, I got the machine and a "good luck"....wait, I didn't get the "good luck". Oh, well, all is good.

Thanks for posting that Mike, it's encouraging to hear how other people are benenfiting.

At two weeks in, I'm relearning what "bedtime tired" feels like rather than "continually exhausted". The first night I felt tired (ie ready for bed) I didn't know what was wrong with me!
