Obtain data from Resmed and missing data on SD card

Post by weburdick » Sun Oct 11, 2026 2:39 pm

I started using my Airsense 11 around 11pm on 8/27/26. I learned that it had the ability to log data to an SD card four weeks later. Since installing the SD card on the day of 9/27/26 it has logged the data for every night-day starting with the night-day September 27-September 28, except for the night-day of September 30-October 1 and night-day of October 10-October 11 (those are the two days I removed the SD card and analyzed the data using OSCAR).

1: How do I obtain the data that was logged and conveyed to Resmed/Resmed MyAir by cellular modem for the period
August 27 (the night of my first use) through night-day of September 26-September 27? Resmed customer support was not
helpful, I seem to know more about this topic than the company that provided my Airsense, and I expect my doctor's office
won't be able to help.

2. How do I obtain the data for night-day September 30-October 1 and night-day October 10-October 11?

To have the detailed data be available you MUST have the SD card in the machine's SD card slot while the machine is in use.

The only data stored on the machine (that will also end up on the SD card) is the summary data...which is overall AHI, hours of use, 95% leak rate and pressures used. Pretty much just what you can see on the machine's LCD machine.

If the SD card wasn't available for the first month of use then all you have is the summary data and there is no way to get anything except the summary data. Same thing if you left your SD card in your computer and didn't return the card to the cpap machine...nothing but summary data is going to be available.

If the doctor's office subscribes to the ResMed online data thing they might have more available....I don't know what sort of data gets transmitted to doctors or DMEs offices. Most of the time all they look at is hours of use and overall AHI numbers.

The AirSense 11 has a peculiarity about removing and re-inserting the SD card. After you re-insert the SD card, the CPAP machine will not write data to the card until either a) you turn the machine off and back on or b) midnight happens. If you remove and reinsert the SD card, the best thing to do is to turn the power off for a few minutes and then turn it back on.

Only summary data is retained if you don't do that and detailed data is not recorded. The detailed data is not sent to MyAir either, so it is permanently lost.
