Wedge Pillow Question

Post by JackieLee » Tue Sep 08, 2026 2:08 pm

I'm wondering if the pressure might go down a tad, once you lie down on the wedge pillow giving the machine time to adjust, or is that just 'wishful thinking'? :?

When you first lie down the machine starts at your minimum pressure...or in some cases at your ramp setting.

Using a wedge pillow takes some serious getting used to, especially if you're naturally a side or stomach sleeper. It definitely helps with reflux or keeping airways clear, but waking up halfway down the bed because you've slid off it during the night is a constant battle.

Finding the right firmness and pairing it with a proper contour pillow to keep your neck from craning forward makes all the difference. Otherwise, the shoulder and lower back aches can outweigh the original benefits pretty quickly.

I only know of one wedge pillow that extends below the hips. All the others cause a bend at the stomach. This can make some matters worse.
