Hello everyone!
I have an issue that I was hoping someone might be able to help me with. I have a vestibular migraine disorder that makes it really important for me to get consistent, quality sleep. Although I have had my CPAP since September, I don't think I am reaping the full benefits yet. I have tried playing around with my pressures and EPR settings, but I haven't made much progress.
My main complaint is that I usually wake up around 6 to 6.5 hours in, often hot and sweaty with my ear ringing and full of pressure. The ringing/pressure is part of my migraine disorder, but I can't help but think that if I was getting better sleep that it wouldn't happen so consistently every morning.
This is my first time sharing SleepHQ data, so hopefully I did it correctly. I am happy to provide any additional info that you may need to find a solution. I would appreciate any insights you are willing to share!

Why can't I sleep for more than 6 hours and keep waking up hot and sweaty?
Re: Why can't I sleep for more than 6 hours and keep waking up hot and sweaty?
If you are using the heated hose...switch to standard slimline hose without heat. Then the air coming out will be the temperature of your room. You obviously do not need humidity. Your report says you are using the machine over 7 hours per night, but you say you are only sleeping 6 hours.

This is normal for many people, regardless of whether they have sleep-disordered breathing.
Do you use any relaxation techniques that might help you sleep an additional 30 to 60 minutes after that awakening?
Do you practice good sleep hygiene? In our current culture, most people don't.

Can't you lower the room temperature? I wake up lots of times if its 70 f degrees.

Re: Why can't I sleep for more than 6 hours and keep waking up hot and sweaty?
I am currently running the climate settings on auto, so the machine is likely pumping in warmer air than I actually need. I never thought about how that could cause me to wake up sweaty even if the bedroom itself feels cool. I will turn off the hose heating tonight and report back in a couple of days. Appreciate the tip!
