Respironics 12mm tubing discontinued

Post by pov2000 » Mon Feb 16, 2026 11:06 am

My one and only Respironics 12mm tubing (HT12) just failed me, and for now I fell back on using an old spare 15mm tubing (HT15), both of the heated type - using a Dreamstation 2 Advanced.

While shopping for a replacement, I discovered that this tubing has been discontinued, but so far I have been unable to find an answer to a simple question: WHY?

I have become used to the slim and light design of the HT12 and thus find using the larger and heavier HT15 to be cumbersome.

I did find an online supplier that still has inventory, so I placed an order for a couple of HT12, but this solution will only last so long.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this?

The 12mm hose I used for my DS2 was about the best hose I ever used and I now have a Resmed AS10 and wish they made a similar super flexible hose. What I did for the Resmed hose was add a section of flexible hose to the end that attaches to the mask which helps a lot. If truly discontinued I would guess many users have switched to other machines due to the Resperonics recall debacle which reduced the demand for the 12mm hose significantly thus Resperonics decided it was no longer worth manufacturing.

Flexible hose extension.....
