I have tried my machine at higher max pressures (APAP), and it does not work for me... it was the same with the last machine.. its really odd, the lower the pressure, the less leaks and the less AHI... which does not seem to make much sense. When it was originally on 20...it was going to 16 pressure and a mad amount of leaks and felt like balloon and high AHI.
I use the Resmed P10 nasal mask, which I really like, didn't want a full face mask.. and if i get leaks (which seem to come from my mouth not the mask) that's when i get the issues... as shown on here.. I changed from 4-8 to 5.5-9
Increase pressure, more leaks, higher AHI... why?

Your maximum pressure is too low and your leaks are way to high...that's why you are having a problem reducing your AHI. Your max should be at least 12-15 cmH2O.

Re: Increase pressure, more leaks, higher AHI... why?
I've tried increasing my pressure I get worse leaks and increased AHI... on pressure 4-8 i get from 2-3 AHI and my SP02 is always above 95%...i just don't understand when i increase pressure it all gets a lot worse ..it's weird ..and also when I increase the pressure I get terrible belly ache from the air...

Not really going to comment on your observations. But on the the statistics page, you can see a a history of the machine settings changes and the ahi, you can then take a look at those time periods and see what the actual leaks were.
Many have a habit of looking a single or short term anecdotal data and then creating patterns that don't necessarily exist.
Having said that, looking at your data, the activity in your tidal volume correlates to REM sleep. The pressure increase is a consequence that many of us have because of reduced patency during REM. Opening one's mouth is also common during this time.
I think your drawing conclusions, believing the pressure increase is the cause, when in fact the pressure increase and leak, is a consequence or REM.
Consider taping.

I'm trying not to draw conclusions ...I know what mean about looking at snapshots....'Im just noting when I increase the pressure the leaks get worse and the AHIs increase... the below is when I had it at 7-12 (AHI 7 leaks 21)... then 4-8 (AHI 2 leaks 1) and this seems quite typical for me at a 4-8 pressure.Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Sun Jan 11, 2026 11:32 amNot really going to comment on your observations. and here is another day at 4-8...quite a difference in the leaks etc compared to the 7-12 pressureCharlieboy UK wrote: ↑Sun Jan 11, 2026 1:38 pmI'm trying not to draw conclusions ...I know what mean about looking at snapshots....'Im just noting when I increase the pressure the leaks get worse and the AHIs increase... the below is when I had it at 7-12 (AHI 7 leaks 21)... then 4-8 (AHI 2 leaks 1) and this seems quite typical for me at a 4-8 pressure.Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Sun Jan 11, 2026 11:32 amNot really going to comment on your observations. decreased pressure to 4-7 ... and AHI has slightly dropped and so has RARA to 3...blood Ox on my 02 Ring still above 95% all night. Leaks are v minimal...its very strange.
