Understanding Long Duration OA Event

Post by CPAPNavigator » Tue Nov 18, 2025 7:34 pm

Hi,

New CPAP user (ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset), looking at some data trying to understand what was going on.

Overall, looks like treatment is working. Went from AHI in sleep study of 62.5 to approximately 1.5.

I have found a handful of instances (about once a week?) where there seems to be an extended period of OA (>120 seconds?!?!). My first guess was taking the mask off for a minute or getting up to use the bathroom, but the leakage rate and pressure don't seem to jump as I would have expected. Though I am far from a sleep doctor. Thoughts?

Where do you see 120 seconds of no breathing?

Are you using nasal pillows?
