Sleep Apnea Could Raise Dementia Risk, Especially for Women

Post by D.H. » Sat Nov 09, 2024 3:21 pm

This article states that Sleep Apnea is correlated dementia, and that the correlation is more pronounced in women than men. It does not establish that Sleep Apnea (and the resultant poor sleep) are causative of the increased risk of dementia.

Since there's no evidence of causation (in this study), there's obviously no answer as to whether CPAP usage can reduce of eliminate the risk increase.
