Around 11:48pm I awoke due to my Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset turning off for no reason. I checked the clinician settings and confirmed the Auto start/stop setting was "Off". I went downstairs and my microwave and oven times were not flashing. Our home gets frequent power blips so I am wondering if it was that or the power cord adapter lying on the carpet overheated. I am slept in the spare room last night because my wife is sick, so I am not using my regular UPS Backup and the shelf that the power cord adapter usually rests on. I felt the power cord adapter and it was hot so I moved it off the carpet and was fine the rest of the night.
If you look at last nights results https://sleephq.com/public/becc00d1-d06 ... a1126eef26 you can see the machine stopping at 11:48ish which is also the time I woke up and looked at the clock. All of the events you see between 11:48am and around 1:15pm was me fiddling with my mask purposely to try and see if I could recreate the turn off via a mask leak or malfunction. I wear the Dreamware Silicone pillow mask so I was letting it blow the air unobstructed for several minutes to simulate a large leak and to see if that would cause the machine to stop. It did not. Then I would wear the mask and then pinch the silicone sides for several minutes to simulate periods of not breathing to see if the machine would stop. It did not. So I am narrowing it down to either a small power surge that wasn't large enough to reset the microwave/stove but enough to trip the Resmed CPAP or the power adapter getting hot on the carpet and maybe turning the machine off due to a overheat setting?? Not sure if that is a thing or not.
I wanted to get your feedback in case you have seen/heard of this before.
Machine Turned Off Last Night
Re: Machine Turned Off Last Night
I'm thinking this is your answer. it's rare BUT you can have power interruptions at one outlet while the rest of the house remains unaffected.

Re: Machine Turned Off Last Night
I had this happen to me with my Airsense 10 a couple of times. I surmised that the issue was with the Resmed ac adapter. It only happened twice over a multi year period. Both times, the machine shut off in the middle of the night, house had electricity, outlet had electricity, but the green light indicator on the Resmed ac adapter was not lit. It would not light on even after multiple times of plugging it in and unplugging it. After a few minutes of fiddling it would come back without explanation. The ac adapter was plugged into APC surge protector.
I have not had this repeat on the Airsense 11 since I upgraded to it last year. The Airsense 10 gets used as a travel machine when we are traveling by car, have not had any issues while on the road during multiple vacations.
