Hello everyone
Long story short, I'm currently specifically (trying) to use the ST mode in the Resmed Aircurve 10 ST.
However, it is near impossible to fall and stay asleep due to the abruptness from EPAP to IPAP and IPAP to EPAP.
The Rise time (Epap to Ipap) is adjustable to a degree so it does smooth it out a bit, albeit not as good as Easybreathe feature in some of the other models.
The Fall time is only available in Stellar 150, as far as I know.
ASV has that easybreathe feature incorporated I believe, but the other settings couldn't be adjusted for my needs.
Anyone have experience in Airbreaking?
I"m wondering if it's possible and pay someone for their services to have my old Airsense 10, or Aircurve 10 ST to have the ST mode + Easybreathe and/or fall/rise time.
Thank you.
Anyone here have experience with AIRBREAK?
Re: Anyone here have experience with AIRBREAK?
Why are you trying to use the ST model machine? Are you aware it can't/won't ever function like an ASV model machine?
What settings were you trying?
What settings were you using on the old machine?
Contact this forum member about AirBreaking the machine and installing different software to make the ST machine work like other machines. I have no idea if what you want to do is doable but he might know.

I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Thank you for the response.
I've noticed that due to a lot of complicated reasons, I lose ALL my involuntary respiratory drive when I fall asleep hence I *tried to use the ST or T mode on the Aircurve 10 ST.
I need something to essentially breathe for me, like a ventilator.
I couldn't use the ASV because it didn't let me adjust settings like increasing the pressure difference between epap and ipap higher than 6. I need 12+ and adjustable respiratory rate.
I'm essentially looking for a ST model with adjustable epap/ipap, respiratory rate but can be smoothed out with easybreathe or at least adjustable rise/fall time.

Re: Anyone here have experience with AIRBREAK?
You might want to take a closer look at the ASV again.
In ASV or ASVAuto mode, PSmin can be 0–6 cm H2O; PSmax 5–20 cm H2O
Backup rate
The AirCurve 10 CS PaceWave device uses breath phase mapping to provide a timed backup rate
that is synchronized with the patient’s own breathing. When the patient deviates from the
ventilatory target, the CS PaceWave device aims to stabilize the patient by adjusting Pressure
Support. If necessary, it will adjust the timed backup rate from one that matches the patient’s own
recent rate towards the built-in default 15 BPM backup rate.
From the clinical manual for the equivalent autralian ASV model
In ASV or ASVAuto mode, PSmin can be 0–6 cm H2O; PSmax 5–20 cm H2O
The clinical guide says there is an algorithm controlled / non user adjustable backup rate. The Lumis Tx clinical guide says the same.I need 12+ and adjustable respiratory rate.

Re: Anyone here have experience with AIRBREAK?
I've done Airbreak. The results are less than gratifying. *All* modes for *everything* are available... the menus are very confusing... and it's not clear which are working and which not. I've been told that there are things missing that effectively break modes i.e. missing 'structures'. Google github airbreak for more... the effort has effectively stalled since the ventilator crisis is over.
One result of that is that I have the capability now to program Ax10 machines with any firmware. I would never charge for this service. If you're near Central Texas PM me... I can Airbreak your firmware. Or get with the guy who got the ASV machine on the other thread!
