Need DIY water damage repairing help

Post by deadEternally » Sat Jun 22, 2024 12:47 am

I made the mistake of cleaning the air hose with water and apparently not drying it properly, for when I used it on the machine next time, it stopped working and started displaying a message 'Service needed'. I have waited for several days to see if it gets resolved on its own, but it doesn't. Attached is the side view of my machine with the hose nozzle. Getting official service is a hazzle as I have lost the invoice etc. Any DIY instructions on how to self-service the machine are much appreciated. It is ok if it ruins the machine because it already is. It is a Phillips Respironics REMStar Auto.

Isn't that a recalled machine? If so, you should not be using it.

How much water was in the hose? If it was just a bit clinging to the sides of the hose, I can't see how that would do anything to your machine.

It takes less time to do a thing right than to explain why you did it wrong.
