I don't know if CPAP.com members are even active here, but darn, their return policy makes no sense at all. You can return the product UNUSED and pay a restocking fee ( which I don't mind ), but a whopping 15% for a box of Mouth Tape? C'mon now. So explain this: how would I know if X product works for me if I don't use it? Stare at the box and decide whether it will work or not? I buy stuff all the time. From Dtc sites to Amazon, you name it, I haven't come across a return policy like this. It just does not make sense at all. /Rant off

How can I prevent this dreaded desert like dry mouth freaking issue. I either wake up with my mouth cement shut by the dryness or feeling like I was left alone in the desert and chugged a glass full of hot sand. I've tried Hostage tape, medical tape ( many brands and styles ) humidifier itself doesn't do much I even have it with a tiiiiiiny bit of droplets splashing as to get moisture to no avail. That's when using one of the many FFM. If I'm using my Bleep, oh forget it, I wake up with the sound of a hurricane coming out of my mouth and desert dry. Can't use C collar because I'm a side sleeper and Spinal cord injury at cervical portion. I'm at a lost, I tried 1 chin strap and it had no change to the force I applied to open my mouth unconsciously of course. Anything else out there?

Yes. I've had mine for years and wash it every couple of weeks (breaking my rule about not cleaning anything CPAP-related).

Not sure, you can see his mouth is clearly covered. This isn't theory - I use it, it works. Sometimes the top strap even slides down the back of my head, and it still works.

You read the reviews, and then based on experiences and ratings of others, you decide if you want to take a risk to see if the product works for you.

Considering the the cost of shipping would be well over the $3.00 restocking fee (if unopened), and a huge loss (cost of product and shipping) if it doesn't help help, then it's not unreasonable at all.

@Vako I’ll take a constructive stab at answering this / sharing my routine to prevent dry mouth. Hopefully it helps you.

I use Bleep Eclipse nasal interface. So I do mouth tape every night and find it essentially 100% successful.

1. I shave every 2-3 days. But to start shave every day
2. I use Nivea aftershave - https://www.niveausa.com/products/sensi ... 20079.html - this hydrates well which is key to the tape I use.
3. Before bed wash face, dry _mostly_ but not completely. Leave a little moisture on your face - this helps the tape adhesion.
4. I use 3M 2” micropore tape - https://a.co/d/0OH13o0
To apply, use 6-7”, overlapping maybe 2” on either side. Fold a corner over to provide a tab for easier removal later. Form your lips into an “inverse kiss” - gently pull your lips in to your mouth. Apply the tape across your lips, maybe 1/2” below your nose (depends on your physiology). Press the tape thoroughly to your skin, I use both my finger pads and fingernails to make sure it’s thoroughly stuck.

On days I shave this never fails to remain well stuck for the night. That combined with the Bleep Eclipse yields zero leaks.
