How to disable cellular signal on Resmed Airsense 11

Post by 000 » Sat Dec 16, 2023 4:51 am

Disabled in 3 steps took me less then 5 minutes.

1) Watch this video to learn how to dissemble the Airsense 11 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1C7pxg3PM8

2) See picture https://postimg.cc/sM5vmHVx remove the two components marked in the yellow squares from the board With your fingernail or a blade. This cuts connection to the antenna from the LTE

3) Reassemble

Why?
I have some really fancy tin foil hats in my collection, but the reasoning for this escapes me.

Same Question...Why?
If you disable the modem and it was purchased through insurance, there may be a problem. Most likely voided the warranty too.

Funny thing, I saw this and thought about my backup machine and wondered if I should disable wifi for that. I didn’t know if the neighbors from the north would come looking for it.

I just leave mine in airplane mode.

The new machine I'm getting from cpap.com (Black Friday Sale!) doesn't even have a modem. 8)

My good DME requires compliance reporting. With my modem active, they can get it themselves without me lifting a finger.

And I have never found a need for tin foil hats.

Thanks for your rude comment Steve, some people don't kiss the ring and curtsy on command and I don't have to explain to you why.

I don't care about warranty and I have read my insurance contract, so if it's lost, stolen or damaged (spilt cup of coffee on the device for example) and I'm covered and like I told Steve you don't need to know why because its not relevant.

I wasn't being rude, but you certainly are.

Also, don't assume that my asking has anything to do with bending the knee.

I bought mine privately and don't have to comply luckily. Like any product that is free to use like the LTE data connection on this cpap, in reality its not free because you are the product. How do you think they build a better algorithm? They build it with data, where did they get this data, they data mine you through your machine and in this case without consent.

That was quick Steve, yes I am being rude because your comment about tin foil hats implies that I am crazy and anyone else that wants to disable the LTE is. If I am wrong then please explain how I have misinterpreted "tin foil hats"

Wow! Triple nothing is on an after-Christmas rant.

Well, it is ...

NATIONAL WHINERS DAY!
- Oh me, I have to get in a long, slow line to return this shirt that doesn't fit.
- Oh, I have to clean up this house. Wah.
- Oh me, I have to go to work.
- Oh, I have to put away all these Christmas decorations.
- Oh me, I ate too much over the holiday. Wah.
- Oh my, that January credit card bill will bust the budget. Wah.
- (Fill in your personal favorite whine.)

I answered your question, why don't you stick to the topic or have you got nothing better to do... Is anyone going to post something of value here or is it all going to be "I can't think of a single reason why BS" or like your ad hominem remark... If you wonna talk stupid I'll give you a stupid reason why to disconnect the LTE. You see, I still believe in Father Christmas and he's the only one I want to know if I'm sleeping or know when I'm awake... I can't predict the individual motivations of the 3 billion people online who may want to disconnect the LTE. All I did was show you how and all you have done is...? You guessed it, whine.

Well done.
