humidifier tank

Post by onward60 » Sun Dec 03, 2023 10:22 am

I know I am supposed to dump out my humidifier every day, but I am having trouble getting it out of the machine. There is no one here in the morning to take it out for me. Someone could do it after work (most days), but then the water has sat in the tank all day. I'm not really sure what to do about this. Any suggestions?

I use distilled water, only dump it when I clean everything which is pretty rare.

I hardly ever dump...I top it off every 2 nights and rinse it every 7-10 days.

Why are you concerned about the water being in the tank all day?

The instructions tell me to dump it and let it air dry every day. I figure it's a germ thing.

IMHO leaving it open exposes it to germs every day.
You never mention where you are getting water from.
