OT: Instead of Buying Health Care Insurance, Should You Use "Go Fund Me" For Major Medical Expenses?

Certainly save a lot of money...
Freeze this moment a little bit longer.
Make each sensation a little bit stronger.
Experience slips away.

Whatcha need? I hear Granny is rich.

I do hope Mary Lou pulls through, though.

Send me your ID and password to MyChart. I'll see what I can do.

I had robotic surgery last week, but the robot hasn't sent me the bill yet. Or the surgeon. Or the anesthesiologist. Or the hospital. Or . . . etc.

What a "system."

As for Mary Lou, I think maybe it's just fund inertia right now.

But if life is about a popularity contest, I would have about five bucks donated to me for my fund.

I guess some cages are more gilded than others.

Don't let us get sick.

GoFundMe is not about popularity. It's about composing a believable, sad story. Or even unbelievable.

I've always agreed wholeheartedly with that old adage: 'Tis better to be rich and healthy than to be poor and sick.'

...Tis better to be rich ...
Up until about 2 months ago her net worth was 8 million.

https://www.fresherslive.com/latest/art ... 1555188433

Suddenly her net worth is listed at 2 million.

That said, really don't know whose decision this strategy came from.

However, being in that business for xx years, one can be on a ventilator and be perfectly normal (other than dragging around a ventilator).

I tell ya, a toothy smile goes a long way.

That’s interesting.

I wonder, if she knew about it, if she would be mortified at her daughter for doing this.

I am guessing she’s unconscious on a ventilator and doesn’t know.

I remember having little money and not having insurance but imo MLR has no excuse.
