Lower AHI Without Dental Guard?

Post by RES9372 » Sat Jun 17, 2023 7:35 am

Is there any correlation here? I accidentally threw away my mouth guard I used for teeth grinding at night yesterday and had my first night of sleep without it in a long time. I noticed my AHI was a bit lower. Wondering if this is a coincidence or if there's any info behind dental night guards worsening AHI?

You can't draw any conclusions from a single nights data.

How much worse? 30 ahi vs 0 ahi or 2.3 vs 2.2?
Was it an off the counter type of appliance or a custom made appliance made by a dental professional?

One night vs a month?
