Well i got a rude awaking this morning. We turned the heat down last night so around 5am i woke up to a girgling noise from my machine. I had my fir
st rain out issue.. Got a wet wake up.. Also, i have a heated humidifer. Is the air supposed to hot or cold coming out of it? My better half made the comment last night how cold it was. Have a good week end everyone.

The heat generated by the HH isn't really enough to warm the air. It's just enough to allow the pressurized air to pick up more humidity. If the cold air is bothering you, or to solve your rain out problem, get hose cover or a heated hose.

I tried everything else first, then gave up and ordered a heated hose. It is WONDERFUL! I had gurgling every night. I had a cold nose every night. I had to swap off masks every night because of so much water in one. The heated hose fixed it all. Just wish I had been able to get it sooner.

Sorry, that was me. I had been staying logged in. Didn't realise that I wasn't.

The first step is to get a hose cover.

If the machine is close enough to the bed, and you have extra hose, try putting it under the covers at your side.

For a hose cover you can PM Offerocker. She is a forum member and I'm sure you'll get the cover quickly.

If you can put the cpap on the floor and place the hose so that it goes downhill all the way from your face to the humidifier. Condensation will then go downhill to the humidifier instead of to your face.

I got a rude awakening the other morning......our electricity went out and I woke up gasping. Wasn't getting any air. freaked me out for a minute till I realized what was going on. Thank goodness it was almost time to get up. Not sure how I would have slept without my CPAP.
Happy Sleeping,
Sharon

mmmm I got this for the first time last night too. I didn't know what rain out everyone was talking about until today. turned down the humidifier, shook out the hose and mask, and went back to sleep.
