Resmed AirMini and oxygen?

Post by m421 » Fri Apr 14, 2023 11:33 am

Has anyone figured out a way to use oxygen with their AirMini? I'm thinking about getting an AirMini for travel, but at times I also need supplemental oxygen. The ResMed Airsense 10 that I'm using now has an optional Resmed heated hose with an oxygen port, or I can just put a standard size oxygen port inline for a non-heated hose, but as I understand it the AirMini has proprietary connectors on each end of the hose.

You can purchase plastic O2 ports that go between the machine and hose. It works for regular machines...don't know about the mini.

I haven’t seen one listed for the airmini hose.

You probably can use the aforementioned O2 port, the Zepahir AirMini Universal Adapter (https://www.cpap.com/productpage/zephai ... sk-adapter), and a standard diameter hose.

Just what I was thinking of.
But my thought is you are already carrying OXYGEN--either a tank or a concentrator.
Using an airmini instead of your Airsense 10 is going to save how much space?
I would not consider the space savings significant enough to justify the expense.
But that is just me--stingy, practical old froggie, er frogette.

Our new car is very tight on storage space! And I don't always need to bring the O2 along, I just need the option.

Thanks. The only problem I see with that is it eliminates the mini's humidification chamber.

I'm starting to think I'd just get a metal O2 hose fitting and drill a hole somewhere in the hose fittings.

If you're interested, I have a barely used AirMini that is just not working out for my use. Be happy to sell. Would include the Zephair adapter so you can play with mods for O2. PM me if you wanna chat!
