F30 cheek leaks

Post by vespagirl » Sun Apr 02, 2023 10:32 am

Does anybody have a good suggestion/trick for elimating those cheek "burps" that I get when wearing the AirFit F30 mask? Tight or loose, I just can't seem to eliminate them. I use a padacheek liner due to not tolerating the silicone against my skin. I'm a side sleeper.

Have you considered a different pillow for you head?
A hose management system?

Do you have a pillow you recommend? I bought one from Amazon and the off gassing smell was so awful that after a week I returned it after washing it, leaving it in the sun, etc. Thank goodness there was a return policy.

in 2017 I bought this one by EnduriMed (See Amazon) and used it for a number of years - when I was using the F30,
I've seen recommendations for something that looks like a cube - have never tried it.
Soft memory foam could also be good.

It's trial and error...

QC on foam pillows is not reliable enough for me to buy online.
I need to sniff it in the store.
That may get harder to do, now that B3 is circling the drain.

One store is gone here--the other has empty shelves in every department.
Reports are they are down to 6% of the market--a fraction of what they had.

I was just in my DME for help with this. He tightened the ones on the upper cheek, that has helped some. He said others have found using a chin strap around your head across the mask presses it better to your face. I only use this mask when I'm congested so haven't tried this but am keeping that idea in mind, even though I hate the idea of more straps.

Please post a link to the head pillow you recommend. I am currently using a memory foam pillow.
