So...I am not sure what to do...I am supposedly going in for surgery in the next couple of months, but I am not sleeping now...and I am very tired. So, I am thinking of getting an APAP (my doctors office asked what an APAP was). Problem is, it doesn't work out in with my insurance, so I am going to pay for it out of pocket. And of course I would like to be able to monitor myself to see how it works out, because I don't have that capability on my current machine. How is the Goodknight 420E? Would anyone recommned that?
Thanks,
Josh

APAP
I wanted to get an Auto Titrating unit when I started CPAP as my weight often fluctuates and the DME wouldn't give me one! I know it is just a plot to get you to keep coming back to get your machine calibrated so they can make lots of money off of you.Be warned,if you try to get another type of machine, the doctors/sleep lab/DME will probably have you pay for another sleep study or just tell you no because they claim to know what is best, blocking what you want every time.
I have the Remstar Plus machine with C-Flex and I love it!It makes exhaling a lot easier.

Rapunzel, Josh can take his current prescription and purchase any machine he wants from cpap.com
Josh, 420E has a big following. I think you would be very happy with the machine and software.
