Mysterious smells.....

Post by navbill » Fri Mar 10, 2023 4:35 pm

With a Resmed Aircurve Bipap there is a mysterious smell that develops soon after using the machine.
The hose and water chamber are new and they are cleaned with soap and water.

Is there any area that could be being skipped and not cleaned? What if the rotten smell is emanating is from
the machine. How would you eliminate this?

Are there any other secret areas that the smell could be emanating from?

You really haven't given much info to go on.
Where did you get this machine? How long ago?
Where do you keep it?
How many blower hours?

What do you use to clean it?

So the hose and water chamber are new - what kind of water do you use?
Do you have well water?

navbill;
You could change the inlet filter .. Like LSAT said make sure the machine isn't
pulling in an odor ..
