Hot Air from Resmed ByPap Machine

Hi Guys.I am doing well sleepwise with Resmed ByPap Machine.But I dont know why its blowing hot air now.I can not find any setting for air Temperature.Need Help.Thanks

There's no such thing as a "ByPap" machine, I can promise you that phrase is nowhere on your machine.

What is actually written on the machine?

As to it being too warm, turn down the heat settings.

Hi Sorry for the mistake.You are right.Its a Lumis machine that I bought for my mom .And she never used that.So I just put to AutoSet Mode and use it.Thanks

It Remed Machine but of special kind.One can use it as ASV,Ivaps and also Autoset Mode.

There's only one machine that does what you're claiming(and much, much more), and they're very rare.

"Lumis" is a sub-brand of Resmed, there are many different Lumis machines.

You bought it for your mom and now you're using it? Did you have a sleep study done to determine, if you need the machine, and what the settings should be?

You do have the operating manual, right?

A bit of history is probably in order.

Sam's mother lives in another country (I think) and does have some sort of apnea issue that is rather complicated.
She's always needed one of the specialty machines. I don't know anything else about her.

Sam has plain jane vanilla OSA as far as I know.

I assume Sam got the Lumis for his mom because it has the various modes available but don't know why she couldn't/wouldn't use it.
So he is trying it in regular autoset mode.

I don't know if a heated hose is being used or not. Don't know what the humidity setting is either and when I asked him about those 2 items he has forgotten how to get to the menu where he could see temps or humidity settings.

I don't know anything about the Lumis except they exist and have many more modes available.

I believe that the Lumis branding is something that happens outside the US, I've seen various Lumis machines, including the one that was posted above in this thread, which appears to be the same as a VPAP ST, offering CPAP, S, and ST modes, there's also a Lumis ST-A, which is the iVAPS machine, and a VPAP S machine, a fixed pressure bilevel. There's also one that may be called PaceWave, which is an ASV.
Then there's the legendary S9 Lumis Tx which is the hospital version of the VPAP Tx that I have, which is a lab machine and does every mode from CPAP, Autoset, S, VAuto, ST, ASV, and all the iVAPS modes.

So, they slap Lumis on lots of different machines, as far as I know, they're all bilevels of some sort, but as we know, there are lots of different bilevels.

PS, you can get a three pack of Lumis 150 VPAP ST machines (though I don't know why anyone would want a ST over an ASV) for only 89,990.00 rupees.
