Recall replacement sat for 3 months after opening. At 80 I don't adapt well to change. Dreamstation 2 is overwhelmingly different. Local health office people went over basics Monday, confirming machine-to-machine data exchange was done.
Sleep close to normal 1/10/2023, though ramp stage was weird.
Night 2 did not go well.
Even though settings hadn't changed (14/5), ramp was a struggle to breathe.
Ramp also seemed long, perhaps because that period had never been a problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Waiting for a new home: For ORIGINAL Dreamstation: 1 hose, 1 water tank (I did cut open the end of it's wrapping, don't remember why, never took it out), 10 disposable filters and one 6-months filter.
I'd be happy to send them on, no cost to receiver.

Re: Dreamstation 2 night 2--ramp feels different
I have the Dream Station 2. When I got it I started out using the ramp 'feature'. It didn't bother me to use it, but I tried turning it off to see how it was without the ramp and I've left it off and the machine starts at the low prescribed pressure. If the ramp is bothering you (struggle to breathe), give it try with the ramp set to off and see if it seems any better. If you find you feel you need the ramp, perhaps set the ramp start pressure a bit higher than it's current setting.

Grumpy48, Thank you for your suggestion to turn off ramp. I'll try that. Adjusting to this new machine is difficult.
I'd like to know how the design department decided these changes in the new water tank setup made sense for the user.
Night 4, machine is 3+ hours on a tank. Maybe it's age. I sleep 3-4 hours. Am up for 2-4 hours. Each night I check tank before going back to bed and it's empty or nearly. Which means pulling the tank unit apart, including the separate pieces, walking to the kitchen for refill, then reversing. Five years +, I never knew how much I loved the LIFT OUT water tank in original. Small container of water by machine, easily filled there, no top to separate, no trip to the kitchen, no plate to slide back onto. Is there a time/efficiency hack possible with new machine? Oh. Maybe a different bottle. New hack. Might be.
Checking out of curiosity, looking for reviews to see if others are having similar adjustment issues: original Dreamstation and Dreamstation 2 are both on backorder. Yikes!
