The Swift has been my trusted interface of choice for 14 months now. It has served me very well. I have tried
- Comfort Classic (a disaster for me)
Aura/Headrest/Twilight (didn't feel good, believe I'm sensitive to poor CO2 clearance)
Activa (facial rash and sores)
Vista (chronic leaks)
CL2 (same as Twilight)
F&P 407 (same as Activa)
Hybrid (bad headgear and only needed when congested).
I decided to try the Opus last night after having it for several weeks. AHI was good (comparable to Swift), leaks were minimal, the mask is very comfortable but rain-out (using Aussie hose) was a real problem. The seal broke twice because of water (woke me up immediately). I'll dial down my humidifier and wrap the short hose and see if that helps. I like to sleep in a really cold room (almost as cold as I can get it). I can tolerate the moisture in the Swift (which rainsout some too) unless it gets too noisy.
I think I am going to persist with the Opus as a Swift alternative because it is light, non-intrusive and allows me to turn into my pillow more than the Swift but I am glad to know my trusted Swift is always there as a fall-back.
PUR-Sleep - I found the oil a little overwhelming even at one drop and the smell permeates the interface and hose but for some time after disconnecting yet still smelling it I was sleeping though the night longer. It has faded completely now and I am not sleeping so completely. I guess I'll try again because it is the only thing I can identify as being correlated to the difference in sleeping through more.

For the pur-sleep; you can use less than a drop. Put a drop on a paper plate and use a toothpick to grab just a little of the oil and place on the pad.

I still am unable to get the Opus to work a full night for me ... start off well then after an hour or two I get leaks. It seems I am able to get them to stop only if I lay on my back and stay still on my back. I will continue to work on it for a couple of more weekends but it's not looking like it will blow away my Breeze right now.
So I guess it would make a good mask interface for me if I use it for napping on a recliner ... need to get a recliner first though
Gald to hear it is working for you and hope you get your rainout issues resolved.
As for Hybrid ... hope to start playing around with it again in a month or two. I got the new headgear for it.
David - I have a revised headgear for the Hybrid may wish to have it for free. It is not the "new" one but it is a prototype revision of the original ... basically made of thicker material and is better than the original. PM me if you want me to send it to you. I also still have the original if anyone liked it and wants it.

I visited the local DME office with the intention of trying and buying the Opus as an alternative to the Swift.
However, after several attempts of fitting it, with the large size pillows, it was impossible to do it as it leaked and leaked and leaked...you get the picture.
Conclusion: The Opus is not for me. I still use and like the Swift.
For obvious reasons I walked out of the DME place without the Opus. I saved $ 195 (Canadian)
