Post by tanker » Mon Dec 19, 2022 8:08 pm

I've been searching everywhere for an explanation on how to choose the correct size of the Mirage Liberty Headgear . Can someone solve this mystery?

Are you already using that mask? This was the second "hybrid" mask on the market. It was a near-copy of the first "hybrid" - Innomed/RespCare hybrid which I used it for some years. Now, there are lower profile/lower weight hybrid masks with better headgear. The Liberty and the Innomed have never been updated.

I buy from Aeroflow. I could only find this hybrid on their site.

The newer hybrids have softer silicon, no pillows, are lighter, and work just fine. The silicone seal sits there just under your nose, it has openings to let air pour into your nostrils - doing everythig the hybrids with pillows can do.
I switched from a Respcare Hybrid to the ResMed F30 and couldn't be happier.

I've been using the F30i and I don't like it. I like the idea of a hybrid since it uses nasal pillows.

The only other full face mask that has pillows and is a hybrid that I can think of is the Innomed/Respcare hybrid.
Have you seen it?

Never heard of different sizing for headgear
Headgear refers to the straps.
Good luck in solving your mystery.

It shows headgear (straps) in regular or large.

Thanks!
I corrected my first post after seeing Pugsy's comment. The Liberty was the second hybrid, and the Innomed was the first. Both of these masks have never been updated. They are large and the headgear is heavy.

Yes, I didn't like the F30i at first. I missed the nasal pillows of my Innomed hybrid. I would use the F30i and then put it in the drawer and go back to my hybrid. I would pull the F30i out every couple of weeks and sleep with it again and then go back to my hybrid. It took a while to adjust to the F30i after using a hybrid with nasal pillows for some years. But once I adjusted, I knew I would never go back.

As is often said, finding the right mask for your individual case is the hardest part of CPAPing. Good luck in your journey.
