I have a couple of questions in ragards to the Airsense 10.
How often do you replace your heated hose? Also on the Water Tub it has a small white door on the top that can be removed. What is its purpose?
I use the Airfit P10 with the pillows. How often do you change your pillows and the frame?
Thanks, csb

Re: Airsense 10 parts
The white tab at the top of the water tub is not a removable item. There is no reason to replace the water tub unless it leaks or has mineral build up that cannot be cleaned. If you use distilled water, they last the life of the machine. If the hose leaks..replace it. Most mask frames are plastic and can last a long time..pillows and cushions will eventually leak and you will not get a good seal...replace them.

Re: Airsense 10 parts
Since my 3m visit two days ago, where they provided me with a new cushion, filter and hose, I was wondering the same things as the OP.LSAT wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 10:04 amThe white tab at the top of the water tub is not a removable item. If this doesn't seem like a hijack (not my intention) at what point do you decide a cushion/pillow needs replacing? Are you looking at the data and getting large leak periods?
(Pity about the hose-I just bought two backups already and now I have a third.)

Re: Airsense 10 parts
i'm notoriously cheap. i do not replace anything on schedule. i used the same heated hose for six years with no cleaning. only reason i'm not on the same heated hose is that i switched to a bilevel machine this past spring and it had a heated hose furnished. (bought this peer to peer.)csb wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 9:51 amI have a couple of questions in ragards to the Airsense 10.

i use the p10. i base my decision on how cloudy looking the pillows get. there has been posted on the forum the notion of boiling the pillows to refresh them. i haven't tried it myself.
i was able to snag some free pillows from a forum member. but truly in seven years i haven't just thrown out a pair, but i can't say i'm still using the original, the original lasted for years and i prolly wouldn't have replace it except for getting that fresh supply.
you may already know this, but it's prudent to wipe your p10 every morning after waking up. baby wipes work fine for this. also, i use lanolin on the pillows every night. i credit both the cream and the wipes for allowing me to get the most life out my pillows.

Re: Airsense 10 parts
As soon as you are eligible for supplies, get them. But keep on using your originals.
Then, as soon as you are eligible again, get a second set. But keep on using your originals.
Now, you will have two spare sets of everything, but keep on using your originals until they break or wear out.
Would you accept this from any other type of household supplies? Would you accept this if it was paid for out of pocket?

- My first Air 10 humidifier tank, lasted about 2.5 years then I dropped it and broke it. I'm on my second since Feb, 2018.
- My ResMed P30i mask lasted from July 2019 until Feb 2022 - over 2.5 years.
- I'm on my third set of P30i Nasal Pillows since July 2019. The first set, the glue came undone, after about a 14 months. The second set started leaking a lot.
- I'm on my second heated hose since Feb 2018. The first one lasted about 3 years, then the rubber end couldn't hold the mask connector tight enough.
- Nasal pillows, lasted a year, they recommend changing twice a month
- Mask, lasted me 2.5 years, they recommend changing every 6 months
- Humidifier, I broke after 2.5 years, they recommend changing every 6 months
- Tubing, lasted 3 years, they recommend changing every 3 months

Re: Airsense 10 parts
Thanks for the replies.
My machine will be 4 yrs. old in Dec.. I changed the Water Tub once because the cover broke. Now this morning I noticed that "White Tab" on the Water Tub is loose. I wonder if I should just glue it back in place of replace the Tub?
I have never changed anything else on it except the filters. The Heated Hose is the original.
The only thing I've changed on my P10 have been the pillows and I do that every 6 months.

Re: Airsense 10 parts
The P10 headgear does get stretched out and worn. You can extend its life by machine washing and drying in the dryer, but eventually it will need to be replaced. Amazon has some good quality replacements at a much lower price.
