Urgent help in South Carolina need full ResMed mask

Post by HarryD » Sat Sep 10, 2022 8:20 pm

Guys, I just arrived in Myrtle Beach this afternoon after a 12 hour drive and little sleep last night… just laid down for a good nights sleep and realized that I packed a new hose, but forgot headgear!!!

Ugh, it’s going to be a long night. I’ve been searching around on the web for DME suppliers, but nothing is open until Monday.

Any other suggestions? Looks like I’m screwed for tonight, but if I can get a mask tomorrow, that would be ideal.

In case anyone in the area is feeling generous and has a sealed one sitting around - it’s a ResMed full mask for a AirFit F30 M. I have my cushion, strap… everything but the swivel clip and hose bib.

Thanks for any help on this… I’m on year 6 of continuous use, I know I’ll not sleep until I get something.

You can try Craigslist too under beauty+hlth
I understand there are also FB groups that swap cpap supplies.

Hopefully someone here will help out.

Sounds like you learned a very valuable lesson. Either be sure you have EVERYTHING packed or take a full backup/spare system with you when you're traveling.......or both. I'll bet that doesn't happen to you again.

Having seen so many people post on the forum about this type of thing happening to them, I have NEVER traveled without taking a complete backup system with me. (and, I always travel by vehicle......haven't flown in 40 years)
I would think that if you can find some kind of tape (black electrical or Duck) you could manufacture something to get you by for a night or two Use your imagination.

By insisting that it be sealed, you have change the odds of getting a mask form maybe to extremely low. And insisting on a specific type you're almost guaranteeing you won't find one.

Consider a non-F30M, and if it's opened then wash it.

Fastest way is Amazon.
Even though I have had extensive experience with the use and functionality of several types of different PAP machines,no information in my posts should be put in practice unless cleared by your own medical practitioner first.
