Oscar data import problem

Post by bucko » Wed Aug 24, 2022 3:25 pm

Using the latest version of Oscar on a Win 64, when I go to import my data card from Airsense 11, the import window s l o w l y moves along. It reads "cataloging EDF" and takes over 3 minutes to complete.
My 8gb card is formatted with the Airsense and only has less then 1 month use on it.

Any ideas?

What version of Windows do you use? (XP, Vista, ME, Win7, Win8, Win10, etc)

A few days ago, my USB ports were misbehaving, on different devices.
And then I remembered I has seen an email from my computer manufacturer and about a critical BIOS update.
Did it, and the problem disappeared.

If your computer can receive BIOS updates from the manufacturer, follow the instructions very carefully. And just to be on the safe side - make sure your important data is backed up.

Just checked and my PC (not Win) is all up to date.
So how long does it take others for their data card to update in Oscar? I'm guessing 10 sec or less.

It takes me 3 minutes to get past the EDF cataloging

After my initial import to OSCAR, mine takes about 5 seconds for each nightly import. Some SD cards are faster than others, but not enough to make any difference for such a small import.
