replacement tubing for Nasal-AireII

Post by Peahioi » Sat Mar 24, 2007 12:44 pm

Does anyone know of a source to get the re-inforced tubing supplied with the Nasal Aire II??? Mine is (yet again) getting hard and stiff due to skin oil contact over time.
Innomed does not offer it as a replacement item and does not care to respond to "sourcing" inquiries, and I'm tired of being forced to buy a complete unit simply to obtain the tubing... It is much too expensive.

replacement tubing for Nasal Aire II

I have tried several approaches to obtain replacement tubing (including ACE Hardware) but the last effort seems to be satisfactory. I ordered food grade Tygon tubing from USPlastics (<http://www.usplastic.com>) and while I had to work at assembling the end pieces (thicker walled tubing) a little warm water solved that problem. I have used it for almost two months without any problems with the usual hardening, discoloring, or oily residue. I am sure that there are other potential sources; however, I did a Web search and found this alternative. I hope it helps you.. Fred..
