Soreness on bridge of nose

Hey all. I recently tried using the fisher and paykel eson 2 nasal mask because a friend recommended it. I went out and bought one and also got measured at the CPAP store I was at. They said I needed a medium size nasal mask. I guess they measure the width of your nostrils and not the actual size of your nose. My nose is long and narrow btw. Anyways, I have been using this mask for a week and love the results. Sleep amazing, it is a quiet mask so my wife likes it as well. Only problem I have is I have developed a red soreness on the bridge of my nose that won’t go away and is sore when touching it. Also have a soreness on my outside of my right nostril. I do not wear this mask tight at all. It sits quite loosely but ask a great seal. I feel like I need a large mask because of this? I tried putting surgical tape on the bridge of my nose but that doesn’t help either. Any suggestions?

Do you happen to have what I call "paper skin"? This is where our skin simply is a bit "thin" and we get boo boos more easily than one wants? If you do it may not be so much a sizing issue as simply a skin being easily made sore or abraded even.
Just the presence of the silicone on the skin can create a pressure point soreness.

You might consider a mask liner....there are homemade mask liners as well as store bought mask liners.

Also some people use moleskin as sort of a little padding on the offending areas...more padding than regular tape.

I have no way to know if a different size would work better for you or not. Sorry.
