ResMed Aircurve`10 VAUTO
Good morning. Well I have had the machine being in usage now for 5 nights. However I do not feel any benefits from it at all.
My last 5 AHI score may tell us a bit more. Here is the past readings from last Saturday to present.
7.88 Saturday
1.43 Sunday
.83 Monday
0.50 Tuesday
1.50 Wednesday.
I will mention that the pressure settings are 12 and 8.
Something else, when I am exhaling it seems to be redirecting part of the air back into the mask.
Does the outside barometric pressure have anything to do with the way the machine operates? It seems as if
I am not getting the pressure when inhaling like I received the past few nights ago. How accurate is the flow
meter? It showed around 4 when it was supposed to be at 8. Same for the incoming air. It showed 8 and was
set to be 12.Thanks Ken

I don't *feel* the benefits of the rosuvastatin, I take.
Instead of posting a list of numbers, post OSCAR charts. My last 5 AHI score may tell us a bit more. Here is the past readings from last Saturday to present.
7.88 Saturday
1.43 Sunday
.83 Monday
0.50 Tuesday
1.50 Wednesday.

What does this even mean?Something else, when I am exhaling it seems to be redirecting part of the air back into the mask.
Does the outside barometric pressure have anything to do with the way the machine operates?
Not until you hit an altitude of about 8000 feet or 752.6mb/hPa
The sensors are a lot more accurate than what we, subjectively believe them to be. As we get accustomed to CPAP, the feelings and pressures we felt when new, or the beginning of a session become less noticable. OSCAR graphs would show the devices settings and responses. It seems as if I am not getting the pressure when inhaling like I received the past few nights ago. How accurate is the flow meter? It showed around 4 when it was supposed to be at 8. Same for the incoming air. It showed 8 and was set to be 12.Thanks Ken

Re: ResMed Aircurve`10 VAUTO
Is ramp enabled? If using ramp that would probably explain the difference.
Post an OSCAR detailed report so we can see the details for more comprehensive responses.
Right now all we can do is give you WAGs...wild ass guesses.

Re: ResMed Aircurve`10 VAUTO
Ken, that report format isn't very helpful. What we should have asked for is a screen shot of the Oscar daily view. We need to see the following graphs: Events, Flow rate; Pressure, Leak rate and Flow limitation. Also need to see the left side-pane with the statistics and machine settings, but make sure the calendar is turned off. To create the screen shot, press the [F12] button on your computer - that will create the image file in your pictures folder. Here's an example of what we need to see:

Re: ResMed Aircurve`10 VAUTO
That will work differently on different computers. On my laptop, there's a key marked PrtSc. You can always google "how to print screen on a [fill in your computer make and model]."

In Windows you use the Snipping Tool and on a Mac you use Shift-Command-4.

Re: ResMed Aircurve`10 VAUTO
The anti-bacterial filter setting is on.
Unless you have an inline AB filter, that is likely a mistake and would explain pressures feeling off.
