Problem with modem on recalled machine

Post by oicu2 » Mon Apr 04, 2022 5:15 pm

I have a Dreamstation auto CPAP and just received my replacement machine from Philips for the recall. The problem is that the modem from my old machine doesn't fit the new machine. The old machine is DSX500H11C and the new one is DSX500S11F. On the old machine the modem just slips in but the new one has a door that opens and it seem a modem goes in there. Can anyone help?

Why would anyone want to put a modem in their cpap?

My guess is the "new one" has a modem already installed.

I have the same problem; original Dreamstation modem will not fit into recall replacement modem dock ( too large). Do I need this? Not sure. Thinking to call Philips this week.
Have taken SD card to healthcare provider in the past, no modem transition.
Never was explained.

I received my replacement machine today and I have the same problem, same model numbers. Have you been able to get a resolution?

UPDATE AND SOLUTION! Carefully pop out the replacement machine's modem cover door by gently pushing the hinge pieces out of the holes in the unit. Once the door is removed, the old modem will fit into the replacement unit perfectly.
