Cpap titration study hygiene
I was wondering whether it is hygienic to do titration studies as the labs use one cpap machine shared over time by hundreds of patients when titrating their recommended pressure settings in the lab. Does the air that people breathe out during usage get inside the machine or is all of it vented out through the mask because the pressure that is coming through the hose keeps the breathed out air out of the machine?

The things that tough you (mask, head gear, etc.) are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between uses. The exhaled breath is carried out of the mask by the incoming air flow and cannot go back into the machine.

There's nothing that needs to be done to a machine for a new person.

That's like asking if you get a drink from the garden hose does the water in your mouth go back up the hose and into the pipes inside the house. No, it does not and can not.seepap12345 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 3:45 pmI was wondering whether it is hygienic to do titration studies as the labs use one cpap machine shared over time by hundreds of patients when titrating their recommended pressure settings in the lab.
