Putting on cpap mask sitting up
Putting on cpap mask sitting up
Should you put on the cpap mask sitting up to get a good seal? Sometimes I might just lay in bed and lift my head and put it on if I’m too tired

Lying down makes more sense, unless you sleep sitting up.

Re: Putting on cpap mask sitting up
Depends on the mask and/or how much it might change the seal when laying down.
Usually nasal masks don't change all that much.
I put my mask on sitting on the edge of the bed because I don't trust myself to lay down and "I'll put in on in a minute" and the next thing I know I have been asleep 2 or 3 hours without mask.
This would be a nasal pillow mask or the Bleep which has go to on in the bathroom.
I don't think it really matters as long as the mask stays sealed. Now sometimes a full face mask might change the seal once a person is laying on the bed but I don't see nasal masks changing all that much or to a point that a minor movement would fix it anyway. If I was doing a full face mask I would start the fitting while sitting up but finish it as soon as I got reclined.

Easier to put on headgear when bedding is out of the way--so, sitting up.
