Latest airline rules for CPAP use aloft?

Hard to believe it's been over 5 years since I last flew! Now have a summer trip planned. International on United. Anybody know what the airline rules are these days for using a CPAP in flight?

What with mask restrictions on planes and the fact the cpap masks vent air out into cabin air ....and covid.
There may be additional restrictions and they could vary with each airline.
It would be best to contact the airline directly to find out exactly what their policy is.
I heard one person say they were told they couldn't use cpap during the flight at all. Don't know any of the particulars but I can see where the vented air from the mask could be something the airlines would be concerned about.

No mention? All the more reason to phone them and ask what their policy is about using CPAP in the plane during COVID. Also, ask which planes have power outlets. Many do these days.

And please keep in mind the safety of other passengers. If you have COVID -- which you could without knowing it -- you would be spreading fine droplets from your mask vent into the plane, potentially spreading COVID to other people.

They have one simple rule: No.

Face masks required for all travelers
Federal law requires all travelers age 2 and older to wear a face mask with no vents or openings that fully covers their nose and mouth. Masks must be worn in the airport and during the entire flight, and between bites and sips if travelers are eating or drinking. Travelers who aren't wearing their masks in the airport or on board may be refused transport, be subject to fines, and could also lose their travel privileges on future United flights.
