Mask is causing sore swollen lips

Good Afternoon,
I used my Cpap for the first time last night. My lips are so swolen and sore. I believe the Airfit F30 they gave me is too small. To get it to seal it is very tight around my lips and they jut out like a fish. I am not sure a larger size will help. This is awful. Does anyone have a better selection for a mask?

welcome to the zoo! and sorry you're having a rough time of it.

masks are prolly the toughest thing about cpap. that is, finding one that's just right for you. that's because we are all different.

one suggestion i have for you is go to youtube. search airfit f30 mask fitting videos. it's quite possible your mask is too tight. or as you say, the wrong size.

and just by the by, where did you get your airsense 11?

I got it from Performance Home Medical. They did not measure me for the mask. He just guessed. I should have done more research before my appointment.

I do like the Airsense 11. It is very quiet.
