Man, I am tired of being tired, not what you think

OK, After about 3 month and lots of advice from you guys I am now used to the whole CPAP process. So used to it in fact, that my shoulders are incredibly sore from such deep sleep and lack of movement so sore that it now wakes me up after only 5 or 6 hours.. I wake up tired now from lack of sleep not quality of the sleep. This, for most of us, is 180 degrees opposite of what we have been dealing with for years.

Advice from here has helped. Advil before bed. I am actually working with a physical therapist to work through the issues, but man am I tired

i hear ya
it's so funny that you mention this today: i've been on cpap for 2.5 months and for the last 3 days my right shoulder is just killing me! because of hip pain i've started out sleeping on my back for ages, then once i'm asleep i would flop around like a trout in the bottom of a boat...now, at the instruction of my sleep doc, i avoid supine sleeping, so i'm on my right side most of the night since i'm sleeping so deeply, and now i have this awful pain...i usually take advil, too, but i'm having septoplasty in 2 weeks, so i'm not supposed to take advil or aspirin for now, and for 3 weeks after...tylenol just doesn't cut it with this kind of pain, not for me anyway...when i went for my titration the tech told me to expect some stiffness and muscle pain from staying in one position, but man, this is brutal!...hope that physio helps
good luck

I also hear you too.

I didn't have much aches or pains just normal ones from having a bad back anyway. But a few weeks ago I bought two of the shapable pillows from target to help from mask moving at night and since using those pillows I don't know if i am totally sleeping on my shoulder or what. But my right shoulder and side of my neck has something that just won't work itself out. I think I need to get rid of those pillows now.

I've been trying valerin root and that seems to help. I also take a 325mg Ecotrin daily (take it at night before bed because I want it working in the morning when stroke risk is higher).

growing old sucks don't it?
