Major leak over 80ml on resmed A10, new supplies too

Post by Magremax » Thu Oct 28, 2021 9:20 pm

I have had an A10 resmed for 3 years. Change hose., full mask and headgear, hose, tried 3 reservoirs. I sleep alone and not well. My wife says the machine is a Darth Vader version. Filters new or out the same. I beleive I am hearing the breathing from the reservoir. Clamping or Manuevering does little. I had over 2 years with a beard and 6 without and it was wonderful! Last 6 months I have had 4 green happy mask and always in excess of 80 ml. Last resort is to try a Chin strap however I do not beleive it is the source. Provider says machine is good. Used a loaner with my accessories and same problem. Got a large pillow to see if medium was the problem and no difference. Mask fit laying down always good. HELP

Best thing is to download OSCAR and post your chart after a night's sleep. The machine will record data on the internal SD card, which you then take and download the data into OSCAR. Then post the charts so created. Please note in the wiki that there are come charts the experts will want to see.

Are you willing to experiment by trying to use tape strips over your mouth? If that stops the leaking, you’ll know the air is escaping through your mouth. If the big leaks are still there, and the tape is still sticking tight in the morning, then it’s probably your mask leaking.

If you want to give this a try, I’d suggest buying a box of Somnifix strips for the experiment. There are cheaper options if you then want to continue to use tape.

Is there any possibility that a pinhole leak has developed in the hose(s) at any point or that the hose connection points are less than perfect?
