Anyone have unexplained fatigue yet sleep studies were normal?

Post by weiss27md » Sat Aug 14, 2021 12:21 pm

Sorry don't have sleep studies to post right now. I did an in lab in 2016 and then at a different lab this year. They both were normal and nothing unusual found. I have had chronic fatigue since 2014 and have been tested for everything. Only thing abnormal is chronic sinusitis and reflux. GERD since at least 2006 and upper endoscopy about 6 months ago shows Barrett's esophagus, small hiatal hernia, gastritis, etc. Had nasal surgery Jan last year, balloon sinuplasty, turbinate reduction and septoplasty. Fatigue never went away and now sinus pressure is worse than ever. I even tried CPAP via a ResMed 10 AirCurve 10 vAuto for 1-2 months with no improvement, AHI was staying around 3 and all centrals. Been to so many doctors. Have had testosterone, thyroid, nutrient levels, and autoimmune markers checked. All normal. I sought out a new ENT doctor and going to have nasal surgery again next week. It's a different surgery though, FESS. He even believes I have sleep apnea but need a different kind of sleep study. Since surgery last year my my nasal airway has been pretty clear but I have lots of sinus pressure. Any thoughts?

Any thoughts?
have you downloaded oscar?

have you ever posted any charts from oscar?

give the experts here some data to look at rather than tell them the ahi and that it was a lot of centrals.

they may find something that you have overlooked.

good luck!

Just a shot in the dark here, but any chance you have leg movement issues, like RLS or PLMD?

Would be interesting to see your old sleep study reports and to understand what different type of study the doc thinks you might need. Did he mention an MSLT (daytime nap study) or have you been evaluated for narcolepsy?

Best wishes figuring things out.
