Fitlife Total Face Mask
Hi I am wondering if anyone has tried the Fitlife Total face mask? How noisy is it compared to other masks? I'm looking for a mask where I wont have to hear the air echo inside me as I go to bed with ear plugs.

Also if anyone knows how I can get this mask without a prescription? I am doing a cpap trial and the respiratory therapist does not have the Fitlife mask. I have tried every other mask out there. This is my last resort. So I need to find a way to obtain it before my trial starts.

Re: Fitlife Total Face Mask
What I do know is that it's known to be quite leaky, so only a few have used it, and maybe only a few have the 'right' face for it. The idea seems great, but the reality isn't.

Been using the mask for 11 years. As far as the "echo inside me," I'm not sure what you mean. You are correct it is usually the "mask of last resort". The "I've-tried-everything-mask". If you mean the vent noise, it's not any louder than any other mask. The downside of the mask is its bulkiness and the mask seal will leave remarks on the cheeks. All masks leave marks.... somewhere. The upside is that it doesn't touch the nose.... anywhere.

Are the earplugs absolutely necessary? What about using a white noise machine instead? I run a brown noise app on an iPhone. Works well. Volume has a big range of adjustment.lindalam89 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 7:44 pmI'm looking for a mask where I wont have to hear the air echo inside me as I go to bed with ear plugs.

Noise inside the head--tinnitus?
No earplug will help.
Background noise is the only thing that helps-- if you can hear it.

Re: Fitlife Total Face Mask
When I wear earplugs, I can hear the echo of my breathing when using cpap. I’ve noticed for me, full face masks disperses this sound so the echo is a bit quieter. Whereas nasal masks tends to intensify it. Since there is more surface area with the fitlife, was wondering if that means it’s quieter than a standard full face mask?Sheriff Buford wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 6:45 amBeen using the mask for 11 years. I like the idea it doesn’t sit on the nose. I have a very low nasal bridge so air tends to leak out that way.

Hi not tinnitus. I can ignore tinnitus pretty well. What I mean is when I wear earplugs, I can hear myself breathing louder when on cpap. Sounds similar to when the engine ramps upchunkyfrog wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 10:36 amNoise inside the head--tinnitus?

Re: Fitlife Total Face Mask
Unfortunately I am extremely sensitive to every noise, including white noise. My ear plugs block the cpap if I am not the one wearing it. But if I am on cpap, and wearing the earplugs, the ramp noise echoesChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 8:48 amAre the earplugs absolutely necessary? Re: Fitlife Total Face Mask
The quietest mask for me was the Sleepweaver Elan.
It is a cloth nasal mask, and feels very light and soft on the face.
Cloth masks behave differently--there is a learning curve--

Re: Fitlife Total Face Mask
I tried the Fitlife Total Face Mask during a nap. Once I got the straps tight enough, it created a pretty good seal. The seal was easily broken if I moved onto my side. It wouldn't be a problem for back sleepers who don't move around a lot. I found the mask very comfortable and liked that you have clear view vision out of the mask. If you have dry eyes, this isn't the mask for you. I have very dry eyes and after an hour of wearing the mask, my eyes were burning from the air circulating underneath the mask. If I didn't have dry eyes, it would be a keeper for me.lindalam89 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 1:30 pmLooking forward to your review1speechpick wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 8:32 amJust got this mask yesterday.
