resmed vaporizer
What a joke. I can only sleep an hour before me throat drys up and shuts down my breathing.
ResMed makes a vaporizer?
The humidifier is ok, it doesn't create a mist like a vaporizer would, but it does makes the air warm and ads some moisture like a passover humidifier does.
You may need the Aussie heated hose as well!

I'm guessing you're also using a nasal mask and are leaking air out your mouth. Tape, Polident adhesive strips or full face mask are your options. (chin straps typically don't work)milehighdry wrote:What a joke. I can only sleep an hour before me throat drys up and shuts down my breathing.
It's not a "joke".....it's your health that's at risk.

Wulfman is right on! Sleep apnea is NO JOKE!
That being said, the integrated humidifiers, and perhaps especially the Resmed Humidaire 3i integrated heated humidifiers, do not seem to be as efficient and capable of providing enough humidity in a really dry environment.
First you need to verify whether you are mouth breathing and if so find a way to avoid that.
If it is insufficient humidity due to the Humidaire 3i then there are various remedies for that too.
Pardon me for asking something so obvious, BUT, have you adjusted the level of humidity on the Humidaire 3i via turning the knob on the xPAP machine? 0 is just non-heated air (least amount of humidity) and 6 is the highest amount of humidity the Humidaire 3i can provide - and the setting often needs to be changed depending on the weather, how much the furnace has to run and how dry the furnace makes the house.
