I wear a DreamWear full face mask and had severe itchiness where the mask makes contact with my skin. I tried the nasal mask but I found it harder to tolerate than the full face mask.
I've tried different ways to make a barrier between the full face mask and my skin without losing the seal. Recently I started doing the following:
1. tape mouth
2. put on thin blue surgical mask (not covering nose)
3. put on CPAP mask over that
For me, it works perfectly. I maintain a good seal and the mask doesn't touch my face so I don't have the itching.
I've learned so much from this board, I wanted to pass on this solution. Maybe it will help someone else. : )

Thanks, Kathy -- inexpensive and ingenious! Just curious: if you're taping your mouth, do you think a nasal-pillow mask might work for you?
