SD cards

Post by Julieact » Mon May 03, 2021 1:25 am

Hi! I have an older machine. It’s a Respironics REMStar M series model# 1051158. I’ve had it since 2007/2008. Does it have a SD card and if so where is it located? I’m curious to see my stats. Thank you for the info!

I don't know about that particular machine, but for my Resmed Airsense 10, I had to buy an SD card myself and insert it. The machine didn't come with one.

M Series Respironics machines didn't use SD cards. They used what is call a Smart Card. About the size of a credit card and also require a special (and pricey) card reader to connect to the computer and the only software that can be used is Encore Pro which is Windows only.

REMStar M series model# 1051158......I think that might be the humidifier model number but I am not sure. It's hard to figure out from what I get when I do a google search for the model number but unless the model is the Pro or Auto...there isn't any data to see anyway.
There was a base model M Series that is just called "CPAP" and it didn't collect any useful data anyway.

The M Series machines were discontinued in 2010 ...then there were the System One models which did have SD cards...then the DreamStation models and now the DreamStation 2 models are slated for release.

My Remstar M is 15 years old and runs fine. It is a 2nd backup machine so I seldom use it but it still works.
