Don't buy a "cpap battery", you'll pay tons more than you need to.springman946 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 7:48 pmhello I was looking at the medistrom pilot 24 cpap battery for my bipap pap machine which is for $339 on cpap.com but the specs say that it will not work with my bipap machine which is an aircurve ASV why would the specs say that
Buy the Resmed 12 volt adapter, one of these: https://smile.amazon.com/LiFePO4-Batter ... B08MJW69N3 and one of these: https://smile.amazon.com/Lead-Acid-Comp ... 4ZJCK522WM
and a box to put it all in, and you'll have a safe, portable, battery system that will power your cpap for a week without charging it in between times.

It doesn't really matter *why* the specs say that.springman946 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 09, 2021 7:48 pmhello I was looking at the medistrom pilot 24 cpap battery for my bipap pap machine which is for $339 on cpap.com but the specs say that it will not work with my bipap machine which is an aircurve ASV why would the specs say that
On the Medistrom website, for both the 12 and 24 volt batteries, there is a compatibility that they are not compatible with ventilator PAP machines. For a product manufacture to specifically list a class of devices that their product won't work with, suggests there is a unique attribute creating the incompatibility.
I have no idea what's different about ventilators with regard to power demands, but Medistrom posting compatibility warnings for both the battery setups suggests they've either tested them or had a lot or returns when used with them.
