Airsense 10 noise
Airsense 10 noise
I bought a used machine so I could sleep in another location. It is exactly like the other one which I've had for a year or so. The machine makes a slight whining noise when I'm using it. I tried different hoses and masks but they are all the same and the noise is definitely coming form the machine itself. I probably could get used to it, but if there was a simple way to stop it, I'd like to be able to. I don't use the water tank, but I checked the fittings and they look ok. The settings are the same on both machines. I found the thread on this subject with 64 pages, but didn't care to sift through all of them to see if there was anything. Anyone know?

Just a few ideas.
1. If it is sitting on wood furniture, set it on something like a thick mousepad.
2. Place it a bit below the level of the mattress top.
3. Use a fleece hose cover to muffle noise traveling down the hose.
4. Run a little white noise machine or app. This has the added advantage of covering other unwanted noises.
5. Tell yourself the sound is the sound of good breathing, good sleep and good health. Embrace the sound.

There is no whine on/off setting. That's probably why they sold it.
How many hours are on it?

What are the run hours?
My first Autoset for her started making noise around 17,000 hours.
Try some of the suggestions.
I'm "lucky"--with my hearing aid out and trains going by, I can sleep through anything.
Lightning and a tornado, for example.

933 hrs. This is not a huge problem, so I can probably live with. I'll try the white noise.
Thanks everyone.

Re: Airsense 10 noise
Since you say you are not using the humidity, did you leave the tub in the machine or are you using the side panel?

Re: Airsense 10 noise
I don't have a side panel.
I did try swapping out the tank for the one on my quiet machine, and it made no difference.
